What is the main objective of Green India Mission under the National Climate Change Action Plan?
The National Green India Mission (GIM) is one of the eight missions under the National Action Plan on Climate Change. It aims to protect, restore and increase India's forest cover by undertaking eco-restoration activities in forest and non-forest areas. The GIM initiative was launched in the financial year 2015-16.
