Every year, World Sports Journalists Day is celebrated on 2 July. Many people who have special interest and deep passion towards sports and journalism often do 'sports journalism'. The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) established World Sports Journalists' Day on 2 July to commemorate the founding day of AIPS as an organisation during the 1994 Summer Olympics in Paris.
