Many important decisions were taken in the 54th GST Council meeting chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. During the meeting, the GST rate on cancer drugs was reduced from 12% to 5%. Apart from this, the GST rate on salty and savory food items has also been reduced from 18% to 12%
