How many crore rupees has been approved by the Union Cabinet for hydropower projects in the northeastern states?
The Union Cabinet has decided to provide financial assistance to the State Governments of the North Eastern Region for development of hydroelectric projects. The Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Energy Ministry in this regard. Four thousand 136 crore rupees have been sanctioned for this scheme, which will be implemented from 2024-25 to 2031-32.
